The word "ekklesia" was used by the New Testament writers to describe what we today call "the church". But the original meaning is far more powerful, as the literal translation of the word is "called-out ones." At Mercy Hill Church, we believe that equipping members of our local church for ministry is at the very heart of what it means to be the church.
